ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Bobby Burns, a former US Army Cavalry Scout and combat veteran, is the President and owner of Saber Point Logistics. Bobby deployed multiple times to the Middle East as part of the Global War on Terrorism during his seven years of service. The name "Saber" is in honor of his former platoon name and teammates whom he served with during that time. Upon completing his military career, Bobby quickly transitioned into the civilian workforce as a freight broker for a small start-up company in his home town outside of Atlanta, GA. It was here where he began learning the entire scope of the logistics industry from the bottom up and gained valuable business experience on how to sell, operate, and scale a freight brokerage. Today that brokerage is a major player in the logistics space, something Bobby is very proud and fortunate to have been a part of.
After 16 years in the transportation/supply chain industry, Bobby decided he was ready to step out on his own, starting from the ground up with his own vision, intentions, and goals, from which Saber Point Logistics was born. With a focus on Government and Defense Logistics, Saber Point is a full service 3PL capable of servicing the entire domestic supply chain across all industries, manufacturers, forwarders, shippers, and carriers alike. As a SDVOSB, Saber Point customers have found great value and benefit working with a veteran-owned business that can very effectively merge a wealth of transportation and military knowledge into helping government and private entities alike to efficiently deliver their freight on time and intact. ​
